Toyota partners with KIDSGIVING365 to provide gifts for kids in need
Your Hometown Toyota Stores have partnered with the nonprofit KidsGiving365 and the community to provide some 2,600 underserved children with gifts, clothing and shoes during Santa’s Elves on Saturday, December 9.
“We’re thrilled that our Hometown Toyota Stores are joining us this year. Their involvement means more children than ever will have a gift for Christmas. It’s also a huge relief for parents who live below the poverty line and struggle to pay their bills every month,” Jennifer Ramirez, co-founder of KidsGiving365 said. “We also hope Toyota’s involvement inspires others in our community to get involved.”
Santa’s Elves is Colorado’s largest face-to-face giving event. When you register, you’ll give a present to a disadvantaged child in person on Dec.9. The nonprofit will email you the child’s wish list, clothing and shoe sizes. You’ll serve children who live in the Denver Housing Authority (DHA). Many of the kids will have nothing else this holiday. That’s where Your Hometown Toyota Stores are driving change.
Toyota will ensure every child signed up to get a gift will receive one this
year. The dealerships will personally deliver their gifts to the families from the DHA during the event. They’ll also stuff a Toyota vehicle full of footballs, basketballs and soccer balls – and donate the entire carload to the Rudy Recreation Center.
“Denver is our hometown, with six Toyota stores in the metro area, we are engrained in the community. We know what a huge impact Santa’s Elves has on the children living in the DHA’s housing projects,” said Deck Hughes, President of the Denver Toyota Dealers Association. “This is why Your Hometown Toyota Stores will ensure every child’s wish is met.”
Santa’s Elves will also feature special guests like Denver Broncos Offensive Lineman Billy Turner, former Denver Nuggets Mark Randall and Ervin Johnson, music by the Colorado Children’s Chorale, and more. Registration for Santa’s Elves closes Dec. 1. Sign up at www.KidsGiving365.org/giver.
