Denver (September 14, 2016) – Golfers and wannabe golfers as young as four months old came together to help create the next generation of givers. In a fundraising event hosted by Santa’s Elves- KidsGiving365 at Top Golf in Centennial, close to 100 supporters came together to practice their swings to hopefully get an ace in their next golf game. And ace they did! Between ticket fees, silent auction proceeds, and outright donations, the nonprofit Santa’s Elves – KidsGiving365 raised $25,000 that evening to help further its mission of inspiring lifelong giving among children.
Santa’s Elves-Kids Giving 365 connects giver families with children living below the poverty line, face-to-face. Last Christmas, Santa’s Elves helped more than 2,000 kids, in partnershipwith the Denver Housing Authority and the Rude Recreation Center.
“Santa’s Elves is different than other charities. For us, it is the ability to personally deliver the gifts and see the impact on the children… It’s really about giving back and understanding the plight of others. We’re hooked, we’re absolutely hooked,” says Brenda, mom of elf Sienna. Laura Lochen, program manager of Santa’s Elves, couldn’t be happier with the outcome of the evening. “With this event, we have a great start to our fundraising needs and can increase our outreach to families throughout Colorado. Thank you to our generous golfers, sponsors, auction donors and volunteers.”
